The Student Committee of Library Administration is a self-run student organization affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library, which participates in library daily-processing, public services, publicity and instruction etc.

With the aim of "Serving, Participating and Innovating", the Student Committee of Library Management assists in the service and administration of the library, enhances communication between students and the library, and helps students make better use of the library. Now the organization has four teams: Hourly Work Team, Library Practice Team, and "Scholarly Tradition" Docent Team.

Hourly Work Team is the biggest team of student committee. Many book-loving students have joined this team and helped with library’s daily routine work, including answering inquiries, borrowing/returning books and arranging book shelves.

Library Practice Team is responsible for organizing activities, such as volunteer activity, complaint/opinion collection and promotion activity. Members of Library Practice Team should act as liaison between library and volunteer workers from schools/departments.

"Scholarly Tradition" Docent Team offer guide to visitors during their tour in library. Members of docent team should explore the library with visitors and promote library’s values and services.
