This tutorial shows the features and functions available to retrieve and track an author's works.
Let's begin by performing a search for the author whose works are of interest to us.
To access a search form from any area of Scopus, click the Search button in the navigation bar.
The Author Search tab identifies the Author search form.
The Author search form is designed to find all the variations of an author name that are online.
Author selection is also available on the Basic and Advanced search forms.
We want to review the writings of Xin Liang Wang. So let's construct that author search request.
Enter the author name information in the appropriate fields.
We can limit our search to only retrieve authors whose names are an exact match to the name we have entered.
We can also limit our search results by specifying the affiliation information associated with the author./P>
Click the Search button to execute the search.
The Author Results include all authors whose names contain the word "Wang" and the initials "X." and "L.".
Another opportunity to further limit our author search is available on the Author Search results page.
Before completing a document search, Scopus gives us an opportunity to select the specific name or name variations for the author we want to track.
We can retrieve the author's most recent article title.
We can also review the subject areas and the most recent affiliations associated with each author.
We can access the author details page for author name variations, links to other documents written by the author, and links to documents which have cited the author's work.
To look for other instances or variations of the author name, click the Find unmatched authors link.
To display the entire author list, click the Show full list link.
Select the authors you want to group with this author and click the Group with author button.
The grouped authors will display with this author profile until the end of your session.

Your My Authors page can be accessed from the My Profile page.
If we have comments or suggestions regarding the author details, we can send them to Scopus.
We can access the documents which have cited the author and the citation overview for the author.
We can access the Author Evaluation Tools, including the h-graph, for the author's articles published after 1995.
We can view the documents in a specific source.
Let's go back to the Author Results.
Let's select the author name(s) and continue with our document search.
