What's New in Scopus?

Welcome to the Scopus online tutorial series.

This tutorial highlights the new feature/function enhancements which are now available in Scopus.

We have added a new feature to simply your login when you enter Scopus.

Select the new Remember me box when you log in Scopus.

Scopus will remember your personal preferences and provide access to the personalized features next time you use this computer.

Let's look at some enhancements on the search result page.

You can add categories to the Refine Results table.

You can also move the categories to change the order in which they appear in the table.

You can remove categories that are not relevant to your research.

If you save the new categories, they will be included in the Refined Results table in your next session.

If you are not logged in, you will be prompted for your user name and password./P>

You can restore the table to display the original categories at any time.

A download feature is now available.

To download the PDF version of the documents, select the documents and click the Download button.

If a PDF version of a document is not available, the abstract of the document will be downloaded.

Now, let's look at a new document type available in Scopus.

If a document has been accepted for publication but not yet assigned to a volume/issue, Article in Press appears below the source title information.

You can restrict your search to the Article in Press document type.

You can easily access Article in Press documents, if available, from the source information page./P>

Now, let's look at the enhancements to the Scopus Tutorial suite.

The tutorial suite has been redesigned to focus on the features and functions available in the different areas of Scopus.

Now you can quickly find the tutorial which demonstrates the specific feature or function which interests you.

For more information about the new features and enhancements which are available in Scopus, go to the Scopus online Help and select a related topic from the Help table of contents.
