Registering and Logging In Scopus

This tutorial shows you how to register your personal account and log in Scopus.

When you register in Scopus. you can:

If you have a user name and password, click the Login link to expand the Login box.

Enter your user name and password in the fields provided and click the Go button.

Select the Remember me box when you log in and Scopus will remember your login and personal settings the next time you use this computer.

If you have an Athens account, you can click the Athens Login link to access the Athens Login page.

lf you are registered in Scopus, the personalized features (for example, Alerts) are available to you when you use your institution's Athens login.

If you do not have a Scopus user name and password, click the Not Registered link to obtain one.

Enter your title, first and family names, and e-mail address in the fields provided.

Select one or more subject areas which are of interest to your research.

Select and enter a password. Then, re-enter the password as a confirmation.

If you would like to periodically receive information about Scopus and other related products, click the check-box provided.

Click the check-box in agreement to the Registered User Agreement terms and conditions.

Additional information can be added to your personal profile. To do this, click the Optional Information button. This is not required for registration.

The optional information is not required at the time of registration.

Once you have completed this page, click the Submit button.

The user name to be used with your password is displayed.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration.

Click the Login button to log in Scopus with your new user name and password.

To log in, enter your user name and password and click the Login button.

Once logged in, your name appears at the top of each page to remind you that your personal session is active.

Click the Logout link to end your personal session.
